Dog daycare is an organized, controlled and monitored environment where non-aggressive dogs interact and play throughout the day in a secure and safe environment.

Canine Campus specializes in supervising your pooch all day long. Your dog will never be unsupervised at a Canine Campus. At Canine Campus, we provide stimulation, socialization, attention and exercise for dogs that would otherwise be left home alone all day.

It really depends on your dog. Some canines are happy following the humans around all day. They like the one-on-one attention they get from our faculty, and that’s enough to satisfy them. Other dogs will move from four-legged friend to four-legged friend all day, playing with nearly anyone who will play with them.

Our most important factor at Canine Campus is whether or not your pooch is comfortable here. No matter if a dog lays around all day, or doesn't lay down for a second, we want to make sure your pooch is comfortable in this type of setting.

Please remember, doggie daycare is not for every dog OR every owner. You and your canine must both be comfortable with our facility in order for your dog to enjoy the benefits doggie daycare has to offer.

You can help prevent most diseases by keeping your pooch up to date on his or her vaccinations. Canine Campus will post a health-warning note if we feel there is a cold, flu or something else moving through the pack.

We depend on the owners to call and let us know if their dogs are sick, what the symptoms are, what their veterinarian diagnosis is, and treatment before we decide if there is cause to post a health-warning note.

If we hear of at least five cases of the same type of illness in a week, we will post a health-warning note at the Admissions Desk in the Student Union.

This is a requirement for dogs that have never had the kennel cough vaccination or have not had it within the last 12 months. We do our best to keep kennel cough off campus.

Dogs walk around with kennel cough, spreading it everywhere they go (it’s airborne), for 7 days before they even show signs of being ill. That 7-day wait period allows the owners to make sure their pets are not carrying kennel cough before they enter our Campus.

All confrontations are stopped immediately. That is the exact reason why we never leave the dogs unattended on the play fields (even though technically, under our state license, we don’t have to be in with the dogs). Canine Campus Franchise Owners are trained by our management team, which has more than 50 years combined of professional dog experience.

Your dog will never go unsupervised on a Canine Campus play field. We do not watch your pooch all day from the other side of a fence. Instead, we are right in with the pack all day long.

It's the only way to be sure to stop arguments in a dog daycare setting...and we have it down to an art! Any dogs involved in a dispute are placed in “time-out” away from the general student body until the situation can be assessed. We average about one injury a month that needs vet attention, and nearly 90 percent of those injuries happen during play activity (a dog will “catch” a tooth or claw while wrestling).

We are very particular when it comes to which dogs we allow onto the play fields at Canine Campus. Thanks to our stringent enrollment requirements and a well-trained faculty, we are able to avoid most conflicts.

A licensed veterinarian regularly trains Canine Campus Faculty Members on basic first aid. If your canine suffers an injury or becomes ill, Canine Campus Faculty will assess the situation, administer first aid, and decide if veterinary attention is required.

We will try to reach you at work, home, and or on your cell phone first. If we can’t reach you, we will call your emergency contact listed in your profile on our K-9 Connect™ computer system. If we still haven’t been able to reach anyone, we will then try your Vet.

NOTE: If your pet’s well-being is in jeopardy, we will take your dog to a vet immediately, and try to reach you or your emergency contact while we are on the way. If your dog is boarding with us, we will call your emergency contact listed on your dog’s Feeding Form for that particular visit, then move through the above procedure. Please make sure you leave a phone number for a local emergency contact if you are leaving town.

Please do not. For the health and safety of the other dogs on any Canine Campus, we will not admit any pets that have questionable rashes, itching, sores, coughing, sneezing, or anything seeping from any orifices on their bodies.

If a dog is boarding with us and begins to show any of these signs, he or she is taken out of the general student body immediately and monitored in quarantine.

You are, if the injury or illness happens to your dog. If your dog inflicts the injury or illness on another dog or person, you are not responsible for any veterinarian bills. (Since we promote a friendly, family-based atmosphere here at Canine Campus, in the past, our clients have pitched in if their canine-kid is responsible for an injury or illness.)

Also, if your dog inflicts the injury or illness, your dog may be subject to immediate and permanent removal from our facility depending on the situation.

Just about anything, including the couch (no kidding, it’s happened!). We ask you leave glass or ceramic bowls at home (we have a tendency to break them). Please leave anything of real value at home, as well (such as real fur pelts or expensive bedding).

Dogs sometimes take their stress out on their bedding and toys when they stay overnight. We do encourage you to bring something that belongs to either you or your dog. This item (or items) will help your pooch feel a bit more comfortable with us during their room & board visit.

We recommend you bring your dog’s regular food along for their visit. Please place any food and treats in a hard plastic container labeled clearly with your dog’s first and last name.

We have food available for purchase if you do not have a finicky eater and don’t want to bother lugging food along. Please be aware that the stress of staying overnight with us and eating a new food can cause loose stool (and probably a tummy-ache for your student)

Treats and snacks are fine, but do not stray too far from your pooch’s regular menu. The level of stress from staying overnight along with new food, treats, and/or snacks could lead to a trip to the veterinarian.

Absolutely! We will administer your pet's medications/vitamins/topicals for free. Some Canine Campus locations also offer care for diabetic dogs including administering insulin shots (only vet-trained faculty are allowed to perform this function).

Please make sure you bring the medications in the bottles or containers from your vet. We require all medications to be in their original containers with the medication name, dosage, dog’s name, and veterinarian info clearly marked on the outside.

Once again, we do not charge an extra fee to administer medications/vitamins/topicals.

We log how every dog eats every meal. If our housekeeping faculty notices a certain dog is not eating very well, we will try a couple of things, such as adding chicken broth to their food (providing there are no food allergies listed in their profile), or our housekeeping faculty will sit with them while they eat.

If we can’t get your dog to eat, we will call you or your emergency contact for suggestions.

No. Each Canine Campus is required to meet certain corporate guidelines with their security system. At a minimum, each campus is equipped with smoke detection, carbon monoxide detection, motion detection, and door and windows connector.

If anything goes “bump in the night”, the 24-hour security monitoring center calls campus manangement and the appropriate authorities (fire station, police, 911, etc.).

Only if you do not give us at least 72-hours notice from the scheduled time of arrival. In that case, there is a $40 per dog charge to your credit card on file. If you give us at least 72 hours notice, there is no fee.

We have limited space for room & board students, so we appreciate as much notice as possible. 72-hours notice gives us time to notify the next person on our waiting list.

We need your help to list, in detail, everything you bring with your pet, from bedding and toys, to food containers and leashes. Our faculty checks your belongings to make sure everything is present when you pick up your pooch.

However, things occasionally are still left behind. If you notice something missing, please call us right away. We hold everything, including measuring cups, leashes, bedding, everything.

So, if you are missing something when you get home, please call and we will track it down. After 30 days, all unclaimed items are donated a local animal rescue group.
